About The Happy Couple!

On a chilly November evening, Ally and Caleb each prepared for what they thought would be just another evening out catching some live music with friends, neither expecting it to become one of the defining moments of their lives. Yet, as she caught a glimpse of an unfamiliar set of golden eyes walking through her apartment door, Ally had a sneaking suspicion that she was meant to keep this one close.

Quickly realizing their mutual taste in funky beats and filthy bass, the two began to spend more time exploring the Minneapolis music scene together, and by the beginning of 2019 decided they wanted to make something more of their friendship.  Almost as soon as the excitement of the blossoming relationship had settled in, they were faced with a difficult decision. Caleb had been accepted to Albany Medical College in New York and would have to depart from Minneapolis that summer. But as an eventful spring and summer continued to unfold, the two decided the show must go on, even if from a distance.

While Caleb moved to Albany, NY to begin his medical education, Ally finished up her degree in Graphic Design at the University of Minnesota. The world couldn’t keep the two of them apart for long though. With the onset of the pandemic, Caleb was able to return to the Midwest for several months as his medical education shifted to a virtual format.  The additional quality time they were afforded to spend with family and each other proved to be a true blessing in disguise.

That fall, Ally moved out to Albany to join the Walters brothers in the duplex on Mercer St where they enjoyed many backyard barbecues, dinners on the balcony, and fierce battles on the cribbage board. From there, they rallied with their friends to assemble the beloved “Dorm C” on Ontario St, where countless nights were filled with family dinners, board games, apartment crawls, projector movies, and more time with cats than either had ever anticipated.

Throughout their time in New York, days spent hiking mountains and chasing waterfalls together cultivated their appreciation of the outdoors. These adventures led Ally to discover her green thumb and, over two years, convert their apartment into a mini jungle.

This incredible chapter of their lives culminated with that magical day atop Cat Mountain in the Adirondacks where Caleb (finally) popped the long awaited question!

Soon after, the newly engaged couple departed on their cross-country journey to their new home Seattle, WA, where Caleb is completing his residency in Internal Medicine and Ally continues to work with Consequence Media. Life in Washington has been nothing short of spectacular for them. Between the endless opportunities for outdoor adventures and a seemingly unlimited selection of live music, Ally and Caleb are making sure to live their lives to the fullest.
